The PM has consistently encouraged youth to play sport and has launched 'Khelo India;' in an effort to revive the sports culture in India. The NCC (National Cadet Corps) is the biggest uniformed youth organization globally. NCC is currently a 70 year old entity. Modi, who was a cadet himself, consistently encourages young corps to think of ways to expand the NCC.
Inspired by track star Hima Das' recent win last week, NIJ went on the streets to ask what people honestly felt about the government's role in sports and whether people looked at Modi's work in sports & extracurriculars favourably and this is what they had to say.
